You don’t always think about how funny a Marvel film is, so we’re here to rank all 18 (soon-to-be 19) films on how hilarious they are.

When someone mentions the behemoth that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what springs to mind first? The mass amount of superheroes now in pop culture? That it all started with a risky, independent film called Iron Man? That it’s somehow ended up here, leading up to every single character converging together for Avengers: Infinity War — and that it’s not the first time that they’ve done so?

Sometimes you leave a theater after watching one of the films, and you think about how funny it was. But that fact doesn’t ever really hang with you, not for every film in the MCU. It’s just part of the fandom experience.

Well, have no fear, dear reader, because we are here to relieve your worries! We have taken it upon ourselves to rank the MCU films by their funniness, full-out hilarity and how many different jokes the scriptwriters and directors could sneak into each of these ostensibly serious comic book movies. It’s a different list, for sure, and our ranking is probably way out there.

But let’s see where it takes us. At least we’ll all agree that it’s funny.
