Hardback isn’t the only way to read the beautifully illustrated versions of the Harry Potter novels. You can now get them in eBook form.

If you want the beautiful illustrations of the “Harry Potter” novels but don’t want the heavy hardback version, there’s some good news. They are all coming out in eBook form. Even better news is that you’ll get them with motion technology.

But there is a catch!

More from Harry Potter

At the moment, only “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” is available in eBook form. There are plans to release the rest, but we’re going one book at a time. After all, the creation of the novels and the beautiful artwork by Jim Kay is extremely hard work. We can’t rush something like this.

The main catch, though, is you’ll need to have a compatible device for the motion technology. You can get this through a Fire tablet or through the Kindle app on Android or iOS. The illustrations will come out of the page and move around, delving you further into the wizarding world and truly bringing the art to life.

If you don’t have the Kindle app, you can get it for free. You’ll want to have the most updated Android or iOS on your phone or tablet—and tablet will be better for the size. On the Fire, you don’t need to worry about downloading the app, but you will want the most up to date version that works with the motion technology.

Next: Harry Potter illustrated editions will soon be available in paperback form!

This is a step forward for books. You’ll be spoiled when you read this and won’t want to read another book ever again without these awesome illustrations.
