Women to Admire: Elizabeth Olsen

facebooktwitterreddit

You may know her as the Scarlet Witch but Elizabeth Olsen is definitely someone we adore! She is funny, nerdy, and one of our Women to Admire.

Elizabeth Olsen, whom many saw as the “third Olsen” for quite some time, is continually proving her worth. Not only is she an amazing actress, but Elizabeth is also someone many fans look up to. She is intelligent, elegant, and one of the best actresses we have around today.

Elizabeth made herself known when she became the Scarlet Witch (or Wanda Maximoff) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A character that has been through quite the experience (to put it mildly), Wanda quickly became a fan favorite and a character that fans wanted to protect.

From there, Elizabeth has continued to be true to herself while also trying make a name for herself outside of her famous sisters. And that she has! For example, one of the most relatable aspects of Elizabeth is her love of Star Wars. When she was on a talk show with Mark Hamill, Elizabeth proceeded to geek out and it was honestly one of the cutest things on the planet. But really, every time Elizabeth is on a talk show is a delight.

In a talk with Seth Meyers, Elizabeth explained what makes Scarlet Witch different from the other heroes in Captain America: Civil War. (Spoiler: it’s just that she’s magic-based while every other hero throws punches.)

For those of us who love Elizabeth all on her own, it is nice to see her get the recognition and love she deserves from playing this beloved comic character! Lucky for us all, we get to see her as Wanda again very soon — because she’ll be starring in her own series for Disney+ alongside Paul Bettany’s Vision.
