J.K. Rowling responding to Harry Potter fans coping with depression is just magical
By Callum Gunn
Author J.K. Rowling reached out to comfort a fan who uses Harry Potter to cope with depression.
Depression sucks. Let’s just get that out there. It sucks. It sucks that little bit less when the creator of the Wizarding World J.K. Rowling reaches out to talk to you.
That’s exactly what happened when a Twitter user expressed how she was going through a bout of depression and was reading the Harry Potter novels to help her through it. Rowling responded to her directly telling her to keep her Patronus Strong.

- Show off your Wizard’s Chess skills with this Harry Potter set that’s now over half off

You might think the creator of the Wizarding World wouldn’t have time to do such things. With seven books and eight movies in the Harry Potter series, the Fantastic Beats series and the Cursed Child stage production. J.K. Rowling certainly has her hands full. We won’t even go into the theme parks, charity events, the Cormoran Strike series and other organization she is involved in.
It’s great to see that, despite all of Rowling’s success, fame and busy lifestyle, she takes the time to reach out to others; especially those who need it the most and, if anything else, just want to be heard sometimes.
