Prince Harry (Henry Charles Albert David)

From the princess to the prince! Things get kind of confusing when it comes to the royal family’s names. Technically, they don’t have last names. They go by their first name and whatever house they are from, which is very Game of Thrones. (It’s probably where George R.R. Martin got the idea, to be honest.)

Due to the British Royal Family being of Windsor Castle and therefore the House of Windsor, their designated last name is Windsor. But they aren’t obligated to go by that last name. Confusing, we know — especially when you take into account that during military service, both Princes William and Harry used the last name of Wales instead, and young Prince George goes by George Cambridge at school.

Still with us? The much-beloved Prince Harry isn’t even named Harry! His full name is Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor. That’s a mouthful, but you only have to say it if you’re listing his proper royal title. We’ll stick with Harry.
