What could the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast be cooking up?

There’s a special announcement for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child coming this Saturday. But what could it be?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming to Broadway. The problem? Tickets are impossible. The last round of tickets that became available were for two years away and even those were mainly sold out. Basically, it is the hot ticket item of the season and their strategy to keep StubHub from buying all the tickets backfired.

In order to get tickets, you had to register for fan verification so that you could be let in to buy tickets. So then how did StubHub and Ticketmaster get the tickets before actual fans? Well, that’s anybody’s guess.

But as someone who is still waiting to buy my tickets, I know the struggle well. But recently, the people behind Cursed Child sent out an email saying that there would be a special announcement for fans this Saturday. Does that mean they figured out ways to get us tickets?

There is supposed to be a cheaper offer for a lottery once the show opens but if we learned anything from the Ham4Ham show with Hamilton, it isn’t exactly easy to win those tickets. So we might be stuck waiting to see this show five years down the line when we’re all in our 30s and crying because we never got to see the original cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (Which that still might happen because who knows how long Jamie Parker is going to continue to play the Boy Who Lived.)

Check back here on Wizards and Whatnot for more news when we find out exactly what the announcement is. Who knows! Maybe we’ll actually be able to get tickets to the show easier and go see it before it is sold out for the rest of time.
