Harry Potter: A History of Magic available on BBC iPlayer

First shown on BBC Two back in October 2017, not everyone managed to watch Harry Potter: A History of Magic. And if you are one of those people you can now catch up and watch it via the BBC iPlayer. You need to do it fast though, Harry Potter: A History of Magic is only available until March 23^rd 19:45 UK time.

After that BBC iPlayer will remove the program from its watchlist. Its all down to money why it will be taken down. The longer the program is up for the more it costs to run and the more the BBC put into airing the programs the less they have to make great programs. It’s a balancing act and a perfectly understandable one really.

What is Harry Potter: A History of Magic?

Celebrating 20 years since J.K. Rowling first released Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to the world. The hour-long documentary was put together and aired by the BBC in the run-up to the Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition. It included readings of the books from some of the Harry Potter actors, including Warwick Davis, Evanna Lynch and David Thewlis.

Harry Potter: A History of Magic goes behind the scenes of the British Library where the Harry Potter exhibition was held. The exhibition explored how Rowling came to create the world of Harry Potter and the real-life connections and influences of the Wizarding World. A blend of both Harry Potter and ‘real world’ people with magical connections. For example a real-life wandmaker.

Harry Potter: A History of Magic is also out in DVD

For one reason or another, not everyone has access to BBC iPlayer. For those of us who don’t, there are still opportunities for us to see Harry Potter: A History of Magic. The DVD came out some time ago. So if you want to get your own physical copy you can do so.
