Looking for some new LGBTQ shows to watch? Need a queer TV history lesson? Look no further than these 15 shows that you need to binge.

Representation is so important for members of the LGBTQ community. While we all love watching the trashy reality TV shows of the moment or cheesy teen dramas, viewers also crave characters that they can relate to.

While, in 2018, representation is higher than it was in the past, with mainstream network TV shows featuring gay couples, more people of color, and even trans characters, sometimes it’s still not enough. Thankfully, we live in the age where millions of TV shows are at our disposal on the Internet just waiting to be binged!

Some of these shows are from an era where queer television shows were groundbreaking and unheard of. Others are new releases, basking in an era of acceptance and tolerance ushered in by those shows. Old or new, all these shows should be considered as required viewing for LGBTQ individuals.

Some will make you laugh, and others might make you cry. But all of these shows will open your eyes to a whole new world of queer entertainment!
