The Avengers are becoming real life heroes. In anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War, Disney has an epic charity campaign called Marvel Universe Unites.

The Avengers are taking their powers off screen. Disney just announced a new, huge charity campaign in anticipation for Avengers: Infinity War called Marvel Universe Unites. Karen Gillan, Sebastian Stan and Paul Bettany appeared on Good Morning America to explain the week-long campaign to support children’s charities. And like Infinity War, this campaign will be all encompassing and epic.

According to the press release, the cast of Infinity War will do a series of “hero acts and social media challenges” to raise money and awareness for charities that help children and families affected by serious illnesses.

One challenge has the stars posting photos with their newly released action figures using the hashtag #HeroActs. If the posts reach 1 million likes total, Marvel will donate $250,000 to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

And other companies are getting involved. Hasbro is donating $1 million in cash and merchandise to Give Kids The World while Funk will give $1 million in toys to Starlight Children’s Foundation.

On March 3, the Infinity War products will also be put on the Marvel: The Universe Unites Amazon Wish List, so you can do your part and send toys straight to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

This will all end in a huge campaign for Make-A-Wish. ShopDisney.com and the Disney Store will donate 10 percent of their March 3 and March 4 Marvel products sales to Make-A-Wish.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Marvel and Disney have used their powers for good. In an amazing case of life imitating art, Disney recently decided to donate $1 million to open STEM centers around the nation, including Oakland, following Black Panther’s incredible success.

Avengers: Infinity War is going to be the biggest Marvel movie yet, bringing in heroes from all over the MCU to join forces against Thanos. So you know if they were going to do a charity campaign, they had to go big to match just how monumental this movie is going to be. And it looks like they succeeded.
