Stranger Things 3 rumors: Who’s making their way to Hawkins?

If rumors and reports have things correct, there are multiple new characters coming to Hawkins, Indiana, for Stranger Things 3.

While not all of the characters who made debuts in Stranger Things 2 necessarily lived to see the end of the season — RIP, Bob — that just means there’s time and room for new characters to join the somehow-not-deserted town of Hawkins in season 3. That Hashtag Show reports that there are already three new roles in play for what we’re calling Stranger Things 3.

We’ll save the most interesting for last and start with “Bruce,” a reporter. Although a reporter would make a good amount of sense considering all the weird happenings in the town, it also seems as though he’s not necessarily a wholly good guy. While the last word in his description is “bedraggled,” he’s also apparently “sexist.” Now, granted, Jim Hopper doesn’t make the greatest impression when we first meet him in season 1. However, this is only a guest role. Don’t expect a great redeeming character arc for “Bruce.”

Second up is “Patricia Brown,” who has a rather grandmotherly name. Unsurprisingly, she’s an older woman. That Hashtag Show isn’t sure if she’ll be secretly evil or anything like that, but it honestly wouldn’t shock us. “Offering advice to the neighborhood kids” sounds like the perfect cover to steer them in the wrong direction, don’t you think?

“Mayor Larry Kline” is the last role here. The government has played a significant role in Stranger Things already. It’s how we have Eleven/Jane around in the first place, as well as Kali. But the presumed mayor of Hawkins represents a different level of government. Perhaps he’s a rival to Hopper or takes a special interest in the sudden appearance of Jane?

All in all, it seems like two of these three roles suggest that people will actually pay attention to the mysteries. After two seasons, it only makes sense. However, no official confirmation of any of these roles has arrived just yet.

Since Stranger Things 3 won’t arrive until 2019, that confirmation may take a while.
