Eddie Redmayne reveals that he doesn’t know how things will go for him in the Fantastic Beasts series
By Callum Gunn
The Fantastic Beasts actor revealed that he, and every other actor, has no idea on how things will go for them as the series progresses.
You would think that the actors would have a good idea of how long they are going to last in a film series. Fantastic Beasts is reportedly planned to be a five-film series so you would think some planning would have been done by now. At the very least whom they plan to have in it.
Apparently not, as Eddie Redmayne, the 36-year-old, who pays Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and who is to reprise his role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, revealed during an interview with Collider, he has no idea if he will feature in all five movies.

Redmayne was not just talking Fantastic Beasts during the interview. He was also discussing his work in Early Man and The Aeronauts but the conversation eventually turned to the upcoming sequel to Fantastic Beasts.
“You Get Snippets”
Talking first about the comparison with the first Fantastic Beasts and whether the production was similar for Fantastic Beast 2, Redmayne explained;
"“I think it may have been ever so slightly longer. It’s a most intricate script and she’s woven these extraordinary threads that pull you back into the world of Potter and collect the beasts lore, the sort of Potter lore.”"

The conversation then turned to the possibility and idea of making it a five part movie series. When asked how much Redmayne knows about how the journey will go, his answer was very surprising.
"“The answer is you get snip-its, but always with the sort of caveat that it could change. It’s pretty exciting.”"
So although Redmayne can be viewed as the main character in the series, he has no idea if he will feature in all the movies.

Redmayne was also asked if he could give anything away to the beasts that we will see in Fantastic Beast 2. Unfortunately, he couldn’t give away any details.
"“Any of the new beasts? Mate, I would so love to tease lots of things. No, can we tease any new beasts? [pause] No, sorry. [laughs] You’ll have to wait.”"
