Harry Potter and the no good rotten kitchen at Hogwarts

The weird thing about Hogwarts isn’t that there are hidden rooms. But rather that you have to kind of sneak around to get any kind of food after hours.

Do you ever think about how the kitchens at Hogwarts work? From what we can tell in the books, Harry and his friends are pretty much done with food after the Great Hall closes its doors. Which sucks when you think about it.

Basically, you go back to your dormitories and just can’t snack? What if you’re thirsty or really need some chips late at night? Granted, the series isn’t exactly known for its practicality. Just think about the bathroom situation at Hogwarts.

From what we can tell, you have to travel pretty far to use the restrooms and the bathrooms are just big showering areas. It’s a bit of a mess when it comes to normalcy. Like where does everyone get their shampoo? Is it just magically refilled every night?

Do houseelves clean the entire castle or what is that situation like? Really, the logistics of Hogwarts raise a lot of concerns. But most importantly the food situation. If you’re hungry after dinner, do you just go without it or can you request food?

The whole situation is truly worrisome to probably only me but still. As someone who likes to snack later in the evening, I’d want to make sure I could have something to eat after the Great Hall closed its doors. But then again, I’d have to become a student at Hogwarts first for any of this to matter.
