The Hogwarts school song is one of those that get stuck in your head

The minute that you hear the Hogwarts school song, you probably can’t get it out of your head. And is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Hogwarts has a school song that isn’t exactly fun. Not because it is a bad song but because it gets stuck in your head and then you don’t really have a way to escape it. Ever since the song appeared in the Harry Potter films, it has become a burden.

Mainly because I like to have a moment to not be singing about Hogwarts as I’m walking around. It’s just crazy because you don’t really associate the Harry Potter series with music. It isn’t really part of it other than when the movies added some songs.

So the fact that this school song gets stuck in your head and doesn’t want to let you free shows us that it is one of those songs you just love to hate. Again though, I think it is part of the series that is just so rare that it sticks with us.

It’s like the songs for the houses in the books. While it wasn’t featured in the films, we still reflect back on the Sorting Hat’s songs because it is how we know about the houses initially. Still though, it’d be nice if “Dance Like a Hippogriff” was easy to sing along to.

Instead, we are all singing the Hogwarts song and hoping that we won’t still be singing it years down the line. But then again, we’re singing it still and we haven’t heard it in a movie for at least ten years.
