Sebastian Stan does listen to his fans on Instagram … sometimes

I made a joke about Sebastian Stan being on Big Little Lies season 2 and it resulted in the best/worst thing to ever happen to me on Instagram.

Sometimes, I like to make jokes at Sebastian Stan. It isn’t because I don’t like him, but actually quite the contrary. I think he’s brilliant, and so my joke is meant to express my apprecation. It also doesn’t help that I’m a smartass.

So when I saw a picture of Sebastian and Margot Robbie next to Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern, I couldn’t help but connect back to Big Little Lies. So I shared on Twitter a joke and then posted it to Instagram.

What I didn’t expect was to see Sebastian Stan post the same picture with a similar comment the next day. Now, in his defense, it is a very basic joke. But still, it’s one that I posted that had traction. So what does one do in that situation? Well, if you’re me, you continually shame Sebastian Stan into giving you credit.

Again, I’m a smartass. So I thought it would be funny to complain about how he stole my joke on Valentine’s Day. So what did Sebastian do to get back at me? He edited his caption with the small phrase “ps. thank you @rachel_leishman”.

Now I think part of this is because if you go onto my Instagram account, you can see that I’m a comedian and an idiot so he probably was giving me a taste of my own medicine. But ever since, I’ve gained about 100 followers and got my original post liked by the man himself.

Next, we just need Sebastian Stan and Margot Robbie to really join the cast of Big Little Lies and this whole thing will come full circle.

Until then, I’ll just enjoy these new followers and the fact that I’m forever immortalized on Sebastian Stan’s Instagram account.
