A new video showing what went on behind the scenes in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them has been released.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them may have hit theatres back in 2016 but it is only now that some behind-the-scenes shots are being released.

Double Negative studios were the ones behind the visual effects for the movie and they are the ones who have released this new video. It shows what they got up to during the post-production phase of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

It is an eye-opener

A large amount of the visual effects went into creating the actual beasts but that was not the only effects they had to create. In a way, it is almost a sea of Green Screen as we see how they recreated New York City from several decades. Cars being moved by pulleys; Colin Farrel staring at a blank green canvas; Eddie Redmayne interacting with a wooden prop, etc.

It’s a real eye-opener for anyone interested in what goes into making a movie such as Fantastic Beasts. Special effects are always a hot topic of discussion when movies come out, the ‘How did they do that?’ being the most common.

It gives you a whole new appreciation for how much goes into making a movie and how much work is done behind-the-scenes that you never realised.
