You stay in a an actual castle
Staying in the Herstmonceux Castle, the 15th century building is surrounded by open grounds that you are able to explore; you just need to be careful that you don’t run into any magical creatures or dark wizards. During your visit you will also be attending several magical lessons, eating in the banquet hall and even get sorted into houses.
It is being described as a murder mystery style event. Robes and wands are provided so you don’t have to worry about that all you need to do is ensure that you are prepared to get fully immersed in the entire experience.
It is only open to over 18’s which is a bit of a drawback. They are also not officially affiliated with either Hogwarts or Warner Bros. Studios and they are keen to stress this point. You can get a full break down of the event by visiting their website here.
