Taylor Swift Song of the Week: “Enchanted”

It’s almost Valentines Day and what better song to kick off the holiday than Taylor Swift’s magical “Enchanted”. It’s everything you could ever want in a song, trust us.

“Enchanted” is a song featured on Swift’s 3rd studio album Speak Now. It’s a magical song that is brilliantly written from the hook to the bridge to the vocals. It’s quite possibly one of the best songs the songstress has ever penned in her career.

It’s evident that Swift was attached to the song due to her naming to of her own fragrances called Wonderstruck and Enchanted: Wonderstruck after the track. That’s exactly what the song feels like, and you don’t want to exit once you enter the enchanted forest. Swift sang the track live during her Speak Now World Tour and retold the story with flawless perfection.

"I wrote “Enchanted” about a guy who I was enchanted to meet, obviously. He was somebody that I had talked to a couple of times on email, and then I was in New York and went to meet him.I remember just the whole way home thinking, “I hope he’s not in love with somebody.” It was just wonderful, that feeling. Like, “Oh my gosh. Who’s he with? Does he like me? Does he like somebody else? What does it mean?” I got home and he had emailed me and said something like, “Sorry I was so quiet. I was just wonderstruck meeting you.” And so I incorporated the word wonderstruck, into the song as a, “Hey this one’s sorta for you.” – Taylor Swift"

Swift candidly wrote the track about a first meeting she had with someone, and without hesitation, that special someone penned a response back after hearing “Enchanted”. We still don’t know whether or not Swift responded, but if we were her, we know we would.
