The first trailer for Mission Impossible 6 debuted during Super Bowl 52, and it’s just as action-packed as you’d expect. Check it out below.
Tom Cruise’s next Mission: Impossible movie hits theaters this summer, and Super Bowl 52 gave us our first trailer for the film. With stars Tom Cruise, his usual suspects like Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson returning, and welcome additions like Henry Cavill, Mission: Impossible — Fallout could be one of the best yet.
Of course, one wonders how Cruise plans to turn up the action this time around. From flipping cars and scaling planes, the Mission: Impossible films contain some of the best on-screen action films in any blockbuster. Plus, they follow a really intriguing spy story from the perspective of Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. Though he serves IMF first, he did try to settle down briefly with Michelle Monaghan’s Julia.
In the sixth Mission: Impossible film, Monaghan is set to reprise her role (we also saw her briefly in the previous film), so it seems like Ethan will make contact with her again.
On her return, director Christopher McQuarrie explained to Empire:
"“The title has multiple meanings in the film, from the literal to the figurative. There is the threat of nuclear terrorism hanging over the movie, which is the literal threat. There’s the notion that what’s happened in the movie is the end result of choices that Ethan Hunt has made in his life. It’s Ethan’s past come back to haunt him. It’s the fallout of all his good intentions.”"
So, without further ado, here’s the first trailer for Mission: Impossible 6 — Fallout. Below, you’ll find a ton of action, Henry Cavill and his mustache, plus our best look at what’s in store next for Ethan Hunt and the IMF:
