Crazy Ex-Girlfriend recap and review: Nathaniel and I are Just Friends!

This week on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, we got ourselves a time jump! And more than that, Rebecca is still struggling to figure herself out.

Rebecca is still trying to figure out herself with her diagnosis and Nathaniel on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In a cool switch, the show jumped 8 months into the future. With Heather being pregnant for Darryl and Rebecca continually sleeping with Nathaniel, it seemed pretty uneventful.

The entire episode just focuses on Heather wanting to skateboard while pregnant, a baby shower for Darryl planned by Valencia and her new girlfriend and business partner, and Paula being the worst in the office.

Most of it though shows Rebecca and Nathaniel continually hooking up in the supply closet. The problem? He was still with Mona … which then proved to be a problem when Rebecca saw them together and had to eventually tell Paula that she’s been sleeping with a man in a relationship for 8 months.

It seems like while Rebecca is doing better about recognizing her problems, she’s still hurting other people in the process. This time, mainly Mona. So while the casualty number may have lowered drastically, she’s still hurting someone for her own selfish reasons.

At the end of the episode, Rebecca talks to her therapist about the entire situation and what to do since Nathaniel has opened up about how he loves her and Rebecca, standing outside of his apartment, realizes that she may not be ready yet.

But the message is clearly that Rebecca deserves to be loved and happy as well but she’s still trying to work through her condition. So will she ever let herself be in a relationship and not take it too far? We’ll have to wait and see.
