The Speak Now era feels like it was years ago, but we often remember it for it’s magical, yet grown-up feel that Taylor Swift flawlessly portrayed with each song she penned.

Her music videos throughout the Speak Now era showcased the fact that Swift was indeed growing up but we couldn’t help but love each one she put out from “Mine” to “Ours”. Each video tells a story but our favorite as of right now is “The Story of Us”. A story of heartbreak, confusing and frustration is displayed in perfect form as Swift tells, seemingly, the story of her and her ex-lover.

The music video was directed by Noble Jones. It was filmed at Vanderbilt University library in Nashville, Tennessee. Shooting it in a library was a brilliant idea as it made the story of the song truly come to life. Swift narrates the story as she stands between two bookshelves, wondering what page her and her lover were on, to begin with.

After Swift and Caleb Campbell try to exchange feelings and thoughts, they cant’ seem to do it. The story of the book ends with the two shrugging and walking away, ending the book once and for all. The video itself has been widely successful and has gained much recognition. As of today, the video has over 105 million views on YouTube.
