Why can’t the Harry Potter series figure out Harry’s hair?

We all know that Harry Potter’s hair is supposed to be a little out there but we’re going to talk about the worst haircut Harry ever had.

Remember when Harry Potter’s hair actually looked like Harry’s hair was supposed to? I’m talking exclusively about Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban but still. Well, now we want to talk about the worst hairdo in the entire franchise.

You know, that Goblet of Fire wig? In the book, Harry has longer hair. So rather than Rupert and Daniel growing out their hair, wigs were seemingly used in place of the stars just growing out their actual hair. If not, well then those two need never grow their hair out ever.

It looks terrible. Boxy haircuts with bangs for both, they are not flattering looks. And maybe that’s the point. They’re in the crux of their awkward stages at this point so maybe it was the way of making them seem like actual teenagers.

Whatever the case may be, it was weird and I didn’t like it. And I don’t think I’m necessarily alone in this hatred. It was just a weird look for everyone but Emma Watson (which is funny since Hermione is consistently seen as awkward in the book yet was beautiful in the movies).

But I guess it makes sense that these wigs are bad. The Harry Potter movies have always had a hard time figuring out Harry’s hair. Which is funny since it is a pretty important part of the series. That and his eyes, which they also had issues with.

Why is it that this series has problems with everything that seems simple? Well, we may never know the answer to that but at least we have these brilliant movies to rewatch over and over again.
