Who is performing at the Grammys 2018?
By Buckie Wells
This Grammys 2018 are this Sunday, so before you tune in, find out which of your favorite stars will be performing at the event.
The Grammys are the biggest music awards event of the year, and with so many new faces competing this year for an award, it’s sure to be a fun night. Hosted by James Corden, expect to see a lot of the usual faces, like Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna, with maybe a few surprises as well. Considering Corden’s background, I’m sure it’ll be a real theatrical event. The Grammys would probably be the perfect place for a surprise from any The Greatest Showman castmembers who could perform a musical number or two.
That’s kind of why people watch — for the music and surprises. Basically, it’s just a concert, but instead of throwing t-shirts into the crowd, some people get little gold awards.
So here is the full list of performers from the official Grammys website:
"Alessia Cara, Khalid and LogicBrothers Osborne, Maren Morris and Eric Church (Route 91 Harvest Festival tribute)Childish GambinoGary Clark Jr. and Jon Batiste (Chuck Berry and Fats Domino tribute)Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee with Zuleyka RiveraEmmylou Harris and Chris StapletonElton John and Miley CyrusKeshaLady GagaKendrick LamarLittle Big TownPatti LuPone and Ben Platt (Broadway tribute)Rihanna, DJ Khaled and Bryson TillerBruno Mars and Cardi BPinkSam SmithStingSZAU2"
While Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar lead the pack with nominations, Miley Cyrus and Elton John will perform a medley tribute together to honor songwriter Bernie Taupin, who will also receive the Recording Academy President’s Merit Award on Sunday night.
However, the person I’m looking forward to watching on stage the most will probably be my country stars, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne and Eric Church. Recently, Maren Morris dropped a new single with Zedd, and I’ve never seen a guitar that Brothers Osborne couldn’t shred. Along with Eric Church, their Route 91 tribute should be awesome.
