What if Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson presenting together was a Harry Potter thing?

Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson presented during the Golden Globes and ever since, we’ve been thinking what if. Could Hermione and Cedric have worked?

When it comes to crack shipping, Emma Watson is no stranger. From Draco and Hermione to even Hermione and characters from other series, she’s constantly being shipped with people. So what’s the latest? Hermione and Cedric Diggory.

Now this started (in my brain, at least) when Emma and Robert Pattinson presented together during the Golden Globes. It was an odd pairing for Harry Potter fans. (Everyone else probably didn’t even pay it any mind but to us fans, we screamed the moment they came out together.)

So have you ever thought about what it would be like if Hermione Granger ended up dating Cedric Diggory instead of Cho Chang? I wonder if it would have made Harry jealous. Which, again, might just be a me thing. Because there’s a part of me that still believes that Harry and Hermione could have ended up together.

But even if they didn’t and even if she dated Cedric, I think Hermione would have been a lot stronger after his death. When Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix begins, she’s only lost a few friends, not anything like she’s going to see in the future.

If Cedric, at the time, had been her boyfriend, I think it would have hardened her in a way that would have made her wiping the memory of her parents even more tragic. And that is already a pretty upsetting facet of her character.
