Gary Oldman brought up Sirius Black on the SAG Awards red carpet

It seems as if Gary Oldman wants to talk about Sirius Black too. Or at least he did on the red carpet of this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards and it was incredible!

Were you worried that Gary Oldman didn’t want to talk about Sirius Black anymore? Well, that was proven wrong tonight! At the red carpet for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Gary was talking to one of the correspondents for E! Live when she brought up his classic characters. In that question was Sirius Black.

Of course I screamed because that’s my favorite character and it is rare that people bring him up anymore. So it was nice to hear Gary talking about Sirius once again. He touched briefly on the complex nature of the character and that was rare but still.

On most of these red carpets, they tend to stick to basic questions and then ask them about their clothes. It doesn’t really get into fan questions or rehashing old characters. So it was so nice when Nina brought up Sirius Black.

Maybe I was one of the only people out there who was so happy to hear about my favorite tortured boy but still. I love him and to hear Gary reliving the character that brought him into many of our lives, it was super nice.

Hopefully we’ll get more of him talking about Sirius (but chances are, that is it) but still. It was a nice reminder that Gary Oldman hasn’t forgotten the Harry Potter fans and one of the most beloved characters of the series. Or at least he didn’t forget in that moment.

Fingers crossed for Gary and his continuing nominations! We hope he wins and continues to talk about Sirius Black!
