Taylor Swift is First to Score 3 Year-End Bestsellers
By Kara Johnson
Don’t ever underestimate the power of Taylor Swift because when you do, that’s when you get slapped in the face by her success.
Earlier this month, Nielson Soundscan in its year-end report that Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album has ended the year as 2017’s bestselling album. The title beat out stiff competition like Ed Sheeran’s Divide, which was named the years biggest title. While Sheeran sold a good amount of copies, Swift exceeded a total of 1.9 million copies according to Forbes.
By doing this, Swift has become the first artist in U.S. history to have three albums to end at least one year as a bestselling title. This is an outstanding accomplishment, as no other artist has come close. This alone proves just how powerful Swift is and the longevity of her career. No one can stand against Swift besides Swift herself.
The songstress claimed the bestselling title of the year back in 2009 with Fearless, and a few years later, she did it again with her first documented pop album 1989. She’s done it yet again with reputation, outselling everything else that is available and are you really surprised? When it comes to longevity, marketing, making great music and sales, nobody wins like Swift does and that’s just a fact.
History is on Swift’s side and it’s not going to quit anytime soon. Reputation is about to get a whole lot bigger and Swift is about to shine a whole lot brighter. Are you ready for it?
Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album reputation is available everywhere now.
