Jane the Virgin has delivered a very compelling season so far, and it’s about to get better as Rosario Dawson joins the cast for a multi-episode arc!

Jane the Virgin fans, rejoice! As announced at the Television Critics Association on Sunday, Rosario Dawson has joined the cast for a multi-episode arc later this season.

Of course, this is cool for a couple of different reasons. The first one obviously being that Jane the Virgin still boasts incredible writing worthy of a guest star like Rosario Dawson, thus giving us something awesome to look forward to. And the second reason would be that it’s always fun to watch two deserving Latinx actresses get some screentime together.

Though many details will be kept under wraps until a later date, I’m already looking forward to what the Jane the Virgin writers will come up with. Currently, Jane just launched her book and went on a small book tour. In the mid-season finale, it also seemed like she was going to get back together with her baby daddy, Rafael.

When Jane the Virgin returns on Jan. 26, this will probably suck up a lot of time in the back-half of season 4. But Jane the Virgin wouldn’t be such a compelling show if it only focused on romances and love triangles without giving proper attention to other female characters. Which also makes me think that Petra will have a lot of time on her hands now that her sister Anezska is officially out of the picture. Would I be up for some Petra and Rosario time? Yes, of course.

To be honest, I think Gina should get everyone from this picture on her show. (Obviously, not including the ones already on it. ¡Hola, Alba!) Another Gina-centric thing to look forward to this season includes her directorial debut.

So there’s plenty to look forward to in Jane the Virgin season 4! What are you excited for most? Jane/Rafael’s re-burgeoning romance? The guest stars? Or pretty much everything?
