Oprah is our crush every day of the week after the Golden Globes

Man Crush Monday is going to have to wait because there were too many beautiful boys at the Golden Globes last night. So instead, we’re going to talk about Oprah.

Usually, we here at Culturess have a Man Crush Monday post about a beautiful man we all adore. The problem with that is that last night at the Golden Globes, there were just too many! From Sterling K. Brown’s amazing speech to Sebastian Stan just Instagraming the night away, there was just too much to see.

So who are we going to focus on? Oprah Winfrey. That’s who everyone wants to talk about and we’re going to do it. If you weren’t inspired by Oprah beforehand, you will be now. She absolutely killed her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.

But is anyone really surprised? It is Oprah we’re talking about. She took to the stage and gave us all the inspiration we needed to get through this Monday morning. “Be a warrior” was a theme in her speech which makes sense since, you know, she is in A Wrinkle in Time.

Everything about her speech was how she was inspired by others, which is crazy to think about. How do you cope with being someone who inspires Oprah, who is, you know, the biggest inspiration to us all? That much was made clear during the night when everyone got up and thanked Oprah first in their speeches as she was sitting in front of them.

But truly what we should take from her speech is that we all have the power inside us for greatness. We can be the warrior we want to be, and we can succeed in whatever our dreams may be. If you don’t want to do it for yourself, then do it for Oprah. Because really, who would want to live their lives knowing that they let Oprah Winfrey down?
