Golden Globes predictions: What is going to win in the movie categories

Surprisingly? I think James Franco might walk out with a Golden Globe for the craziest performance of the year. The Disaster Artist, which is based on the novel detailing the creation of The Room, gives us Franco as Tommy Wiseau and it is honestly perfect.

Daniel Kaluuya could take it home instead for his work in Get Out. In a breakout performance, he brought Chris to life in a way that made us frantic and want to save him. He’s incredible and truly, either man could win and it would be a great night.

Personally? Kaluuya should take it home, but Franco did deliver the performance of his career.

Look I’m going to say it, I hope that Daniel Day-Lewis actually retires and stops coming back. He’s going to win because the voters love him but there is nothing that infuriates me more than an actor like Day-Lewis.

So yes, he gave a great performance and is going to probably sweep everything thanks to Phantom Thread, but it is annoying because Timothée Chalamet and Gary Oldman had some of the best performances of the entire year and they’re going to get overshadowed by Lewis’s “last role”.

If he comes back and makes another movie, you’re not allowed to vote for him. Once you retire, that’s it. No more Oscars for you.
