Golden Globes predictions: What is going to win in the movie categories

For Musical or Comedy, this is just pure wishful thinking. Saorise Ronan is probably going to win for Lady Bird and that is fine and wonderful. But do you know who I want to win more than anything in this world? Margot Robbie. She played one of the most hated figures in American history. And she did so in a way that made us all empathize with Tonya Harding.

I, Tonya truly shows us the story behind the incident that ruined Harding’s entire career and I think that Margot delivers the character in a way that is completely different from everything we’ve seen of her before.

For Drama, I think that Frances McDormand is going to take home the Golden Globe for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Personally, I hope she accepts her award in an all denim look like she did at the Tony Awards but if she doesn’t, that’s fine.

Why? Because she won and she deserved to. Out of all the performances nominated, I think that the only other real contender would be Sally Hawkins for her role in The Shape of Water. Yes, I know that Meryl Streep is nominated but that doesn’t mean she has to win. And I think there are a lot of strong performances out there, but hers is the strongest.
