Golden Globes predictions: What is going to win in the movie categories

Best Motion Picture — Animated

Another easy win for Coco. Yes there were some other good movies this year but if The Boss Baby somehow beats Coco, there are going to be some angry fans out there. The movie is just beautiful.

I went into it knowing that I was going to cry (I was warned). But I couldn’t have prepared myself for how brilliant this work is. The story is complex, it is amazing to look at and it has some of the most amazing music in a film.

So could something else come in and take this win from Coco? I hope not because even with the Olaf’s Frozen Adventure short before it, Coco was still the best animated picture from this last year.

Still though, if anyone took the Globe home instead, it would probably end up being Ferdinand, the story about the bull who just wanted to be gentle and didn’t want to fight. Another inspirational tale, it tells us all to be true to who we are.

Granted, Coco is probably one of the best movies in general this year, but Ferdinand wouldn’t be a bad win either. But this is one that we’ll have to wait and see. Personally though, I vote for Coco.
