Best Motion Picture — Drama

I’m not going to talk about any movie except for Call Me By Your Name and it should win exclusively for one scene. At the end of the movie, Elio is staring into the fire and it has single-handedly changed every person who saw the film.

So should it win? Yes. Is the story a little messy and is it not as moving as the book? Yes, but often things get left out of book to movie transitions. It’s fine, because this movie still is one of the most heart-wrenching stories.

If you haven’t seen Call Me By Your Name yet, I highly suggest you do. It is definitely one of the best movies of the year. So will it take home the Golden Globe? I don’t really see how it couldn’t. Maybe something like The Post will sweep in.

But I don’t think that is a good idea. The rest of the category is fine, filled with wonderful movies that are all great in their own right. Do I think they’re at the level of Call Me By Your Name? No, and that is why I truly believe that it is going to win.

And as it should because it made me cry for 15 minutes after it ended.
