So many video games came out in 2017. Plus Nintendo launched a brand new system! Here’s our list of the best games of the last year.

Video games are a serious business. You invest literal hours of your life trying to beat the final boss, finishing the side quests, finding every little hidden secret you can. You play until you can play no more — until you are mentally or physically exhausted. Or you play until you feel like you’ve completed the whole game.

2017 feels like a crazy intense year for games. Not only did Nintendo launch a brand-new system with two excellent, high-quality games, but Playstation and Xbox weren’t far behind with the quality of the games on their own systems.

Now that you have Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to invest hours upon hours of your life in something, maybe it’s time to take look at playing a video game or two. Or seven.
