How the Harry Potter series taught us to be kind to one another

The Harry Potter series taught us a lot of things but one of the most important things we’ve learned is to be kind to one another no matter what.

Harry Potter has taught us a lot throughout the years. Whether it was the importance of friendship or to protect those close to us, there is a lot to be said about this series and what it represents for children.

So how did it teach us about kindness? Well, first of all, Molly Weasley is the definition of kindness. She took in Harry as if she was her own son and made sure he felt as if he was loved. More than that, Harry’s friends were also the epitome of kindness.

Everyone in this series, with a few exceptions, showed us what kindness can do for someone. Sirius opened his heart to Harry, took care of him. Lupin made sure to protect Harry no matter the cost. Hermione and Ron continually helped Harry both because they loved him and because they were just kind people.

It is an incredible message for kids to learn. When you are kind to one another, you are capable of doing anything you need to to succeed. I think it is a lovely message and I think that we should try and focus on that lesson from the Harry Potter series. So often, we look to the negatives and rarely look at the amazing messages that we got from this lovely series. Rowling taught us a lot and we’re forever grateful to her.
