10 TV character shopping obsessions

The folks we see on our show are just like me and you — they like stuff too.  Here the shopping obsessions of our favorite TV characters.

There is really no accounting for taste. We like what we like, and our favorite characters are just like us — they have their very own shopping obsessions too. Whether it’s brands that we could never afford or just plain ol’ stuff, it’s fun to see what these characters like. It’s interesting to sort out their favorite things, and then try to figure out what it could mean about them as a person.

Sometimes it’s wish fulfillment and we’re left feeling envious about stuff we can only aspire to have one day. Other times it’s some of the same things we buy, and we feel a little closer to characters all around. Either way, it’s exciting to pin down some of the small eccentricities of some of the most famous characters in our culture — it makes the fandom richer and far more interesting.

Of course, some of these things are written in for blatant and shameless product placement, serving as (sometimes not so subliminal) advertising for the products in question. I just don’t care, because I really like to think my favorite TV mom drinks the same soda as me, and I would love to imagine buying the same expensive shoes as the coolest girl in the city.
