Louis C.K. is no longer the Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity in Gravity Falls

Louis C.K.’s work is quickly being erased following his sexual misconduct admission. Now his work in Gravity Falls has been re-dubbed.

Ever since the sexual harassment and assault allegations in the entertainment industry started coming out, people have been grappling with what to do with these men’s work. It’s really run the gamut. Disney XD, though, decided to follow in All the Money in the World’s footsteps when it came to Louis C.K.

C.K. appeared in the show Gravity Falls as The Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity, which is a huge head with an arm growing it of it.

But five women accused C.K. of sexual misconduct, including masturbating in front of them, and C.K. admitted to these accusations.

Now he has to face the consequences. His appearances, upcoming Netflix special and movie I Love You, Daddy (which almost seems like a confession) were all canceled, C.K.’s content was taken out of HBO’s library, and more. And now Gravity Falls is taking action.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Disney XD has completely taken C.K. out of the show Gravity Falls and re-dubbed it with showrunner Alex Hirsch’s voice.

“The role was recorded approximately one month ago and new versions of three episodes are now on the Disney XD schedule around the world,” a Disney Channel spokesperson told EW. “Series creator and executive producer Alex Hirsch is now credited as playing the character.”

And C.K. isn’t the only one who has had their work changed in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations. Ridley Scott completely redid All the Money in the World without Kevin Spacey.

This has been a big question following the sexual harassment and assault allegations. What happens to the art these men have made? Can we still be fans? Can we and should we separate the art from the artist?

I don’t think so. I was a fan of C.K., his standup, and Louis, but I’m glad that they’re taking these cases seriously and doing this.
