Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Is Luke Skywalker a space virgin?

When it comes to Star Wars, Luke Skywalker is a pretty dramatic character. So much so that I think that he might just be the biggest space virgin second only to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Warning: There are some slight Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoilers — nothing big, just what Luke’s like in the movie.

Luke Skywalker is a space virgin and I know that I’m right.

Now that I’ve angered some of you, let me explain. Within the Jedi religion, it is stated that a Jedi cannot sleep with anyone, marry anyone, have babies with anyone or basically do anything at all with another being, so that they don’t make connections with anyone.

They’re supposed to be lone wolves except for other Jedi. So while we see in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi that Luke doesn’t exactly agree with the rules of the Jedi, that doesn’t mean he’s out there sleeping throughout the galaxy.

My philosophy is simple: he’s just too dramatic. Now that’s not to say those who are overtly dramatic are space virgins, but this just kind of fits the bill with Luke and his mindset. And after what happens throughout the entirety of The Last Jedi, it’s pretty obvious.

We are aware that in the EU, he has a son with Mara Jade named Ben Skywalker, which is fine. In the EU, it makes sense, but in the movie universe, you just know that Luke literally hasn’t looked at a girl or boy and wanted to fall in love with them. I mean, after all, his track record isn’t great. The only other girl he’s kissed was his twin sister.

So is this canon? Absolutely not. But I do think that Luke Skywalker, much like Han Solo, is a loner who hasn’t ever slept with another person in his life. Or I could be completely wrong and we’ll learn about it later on. But for now, Luke Skywalker is my sweet space virgin boy.
