Aaron Carter Thinks He’s A Lot Like Taylor Swift

Aaron Carter just made an odd proclamation.

Speaking to Us Weekly for the magazine’s latest issue, the troubled pop star revealed that he feels he and Taylor Swift are a lot alike — at least when it comes to their processes of making music.

“I’m kind of like a Taylor Swift but not really,” he explained.

Fresh out of rehab, the younger brother of the Backsteet Boys’ Nick Carter told the magazine that he is “for real” like Swift because they both write when they feel down. As he explained, he produces music when he’s in a near-depressed state and uses his songs as way to get out of his head.

According to Carter, writing music about his feeling has been his way of finding inner peace and through the process, he’s gotten some great tracks.

In addition to allegedly writing music when he’s sad, like Swift, he and the singer also have another commonality: they write music about their relationships that haven’t worked out. Carter also noted that he’s written songs about girlfriends before they became exes as a way to understand what they were doing to him.

As Swift fans well know, she’s made a habit of writing about her former boyfriends but rarely reveals who the songs she’s released are written for. It’s really become a fun game for her many fans and followers, who are frequently forced to make guesses about her inspiration.
