Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: What is Deke’s long game plan?

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’s last episode ended with newcomer Deke turning Daisy into Kasius. But what exactly is his long game?

At this point in time, I’m guessing not a lot of people like Deke on Agents of SHIELD. Need a quick recap?

Daisy went on her way to save Simmons from Kasius’s clutches. However, Deke gave Kasius a heads up and now Daisy is in custody (simply put). As she passed out from the gas, he tells her he’s just playing the long game.

That definitely means something.

We still don’t know much about Deke, other than he really only cares about money. That and making sure the precarious balance between the humans and the Kree doesn’t teeter. Of course, all our SHIELD friends are doing is disrupting the status quo.

So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Deke would turn Kasius onto Daisy and her ridiculous plan. He has a long game, we just don’t know what it is.

It’s easy to assume that he wants Daisy to be in with Kasius to keep her out of trouble, keep her in check. Never mind the fact that he basically just sold her into slavery … anyway — that’s one less newcomer for him to worry about.

If he’s a smart man — and he seems like he might be — he knows Daisy won’t go quietly with Kasius. She will do anything to save her friends and save herself. Maybe he hopes she’ll eliminate the leader of the Kree faction, or at the very least incapacitate him in some way.

I mean, if Daisy did destroy the world in this particular universe, how hard will it be to overcome a handful of Kree?

Who knows what Deke’s plan actually is? One thing’s for sure: he needs to let us know whether we should be for him or against him. And sooner rather than later.
