Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 3 preview: A Life Spent

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” takes its setting to space. This week, what will Simmons get herself into? And can any of her SHIELD friends save her?

Jemma Simmons is a smart woman on Agents of SHIELD. But sometimes her judgment gets blinded by her need to do the right thing or be helpful. In the case so far this season, her ability to save a man’s life caused a ripple effect.

Not only is she now basically enslaved by Kasius, but she caused several other people to die instead and she’s now known as not being from the Lighthouse. So much for keeping their heads down, am I right?

Here is the official synopsis, courtesy of ABC:

"Daisy decides she will rescue Simmons – even if it means risking everything to do it."

Well that’s short and sweet and sounds highly dangerous and stupid.

Daisy has definitely been the Most Improved Player of this series the longer it’s gone on. Most people wanted her taken off in season one and even most of season two. But she’s turned out be a great badass Inhuman. Who, you know, may have quaked open the world.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Orientation (Part One)” – Coulson and the team find themselves stranded on a mysterious ship in outer space, and that’s just the beginning of the nightmare to come, when “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns for its highly anticipated fifth season with a special two-hour premiere, FRIDAY, DEC. 1 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. That being said, sometimes her harebrained ideas are just that: not the best. Very stupid and dangerous. Did I already say that?

This one in particular seems pretty dangerous. True–no one but Deke knows her abilities, so that’s an advantage. But as he said, it’s a precarious society. One tiny tilt in power and the whole structure crashes down around them.

That won’t work well when Fitz is (more than likely) in the past try to save them from whatever actually happened.

Next: Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: When will we see Fitz?

This season should be fun. That’s not saying the first four seasons weren’t fun, but man… throwing them into space feels so out of left field. I’m excited to see where they go from here.
