“Get this man a shield.”

If you didn’t get goosebumps or have your eyes well up with tears at this line and subsequent shot, then I don’t even have a response for you. You probably won’t enjoy our gushing in these next few paragraphs.

This line is everything. It’s just so good. Even if the line ends up being about Bucky or even Hulk, it just works so well with the reveal of a disheveled, fantastically bearded Steve Rogers slipping out of the shadows.

It’s a culmination of everything that happened in Captain America: Civil War. Think about it: Black Panther started that movie hating Captain America and every “vigilante” action of his, but by the end, he saw that his hatred of the man was misguided and misplaced. He offers to house Bucky in his frozen state.

And now he’s rallying the troops and telling someone to get Captain America’s weapon of choice.

That’s an even bigger statement when you remember that Cap’s original shield is in the custody of the US Government. Which means Wakanda has a stash of Vibranium shields ready to go. You have to think T’Challa’s been taking notes on the Avengers and bettering his own country from his observations.

I think this is the start of something beautiful.
