Why is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix the longest book?

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the longest in the series. But the question is, why that book and not Deathly Hallows or even Half Blood Prince?

Everyone has their favorite Harry Potter book. It is just upsetting that mine happens to be the longest book in the series. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix beats out every other book with a total of 766 pages.

Now that might not seem like a lot but actually, it is. The next closest is Goblet of Fire with only 636 pages. Which honestly isn’t that surprising. There is a lot to tackle in Order of the Phoenix. Not only is Voldemort back but he has made Harry’s life impossible.

Harry is trying to focus on his lessons, getting dreams from Voldemort and keeping his godfatehr alive despite the fact that he’s still on the run from Azkaban. It is a lot to handle and Harry is still just a teenage boy.

He even goes to court in this one because he’s trying to save Dudley and Dementors come to Number 4 Privet Drive. Harry is trying his hardest to save his family and his friends and a lot of the book, it backfires on him. But in the end, he is heartbroken and Sirius Black is gone.

But honestly, I could re-read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix over and over again. Despite how long it is, it is still my favorite one and the story is interesting enough that no matter how many times we revisit it, it is still one of the best stories out there.
