Is Cursed Child as hard to get into as Hogwarts?

We all waited for our Hogwarts letters. Whether it was at the age of eleven or even now, at twenty six. So is waiting for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets going to be just as bad?

Everyone wants their Hogwarts letter. When we all turned eleven, we sat in front of the door wishing the owls would drop it off. Eventually we learned that we wouldn’t be getting one and that’s where I am in the process of trying to get a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ticket for the Broadway show.

I’m at the point of giving up. Not because I don’t want to see it but, on the contrary. I want to see it very badly so maybe if I just pretend like I don’t want to go anymore, I’ll get a ticket. (I know this logic doesn’t work but what can you do? I’m stuck in the limbo of not getting the fan verification so I just have to pray I can somehow win the lottery for it.)

I feel like this should have been an anticipated problem. Harry Potter is still arguably one of the biggest franchises in the world. So why wouldn’t Broadway think to come up with a better solution to selling Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets?

Maybe common sense is lacking in all departments but whatever the cause may be, we’re stuck in limbo. Will we get tickets and get to see the original cast in the flesh? Or will we be stuck forever not being able to see something that is Harry Potter related?

I just wish it was like a Hogwarts letter. If you didn’t get one, it is okay. Because you can make your own Hogwarts letter and then take yourself to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to celebrate.
