The final track and ballad from reputation debuts at No.40 on the Hot Country Songs Chart, making it Swift’s first song to do so since 2013.

According to Billboard, Taylor Swift has charted her first entry on the Hot Country Songs chart since 2013 with her ballad “New Years Day”. The song has arrived at No.40 on the list dated December 9. “New Years Day” is now officially being promoted as a country song and single after radio stations embraced it quickly, which doesn’t surprise us. Country radio has always loved Swift and we know they are happy to have her back.

The last song to chart on the Country Songs chart is Tim McGraw’s “Highway Don’t Care,” with Swift, peaking at No.4 in May of 2013. “Day” is Swift’s 41st entry on the chart. The song itself has sold over 11,000 downloads in the week ending on November 23. It’s the 15th and last track on reputation, and album that has remained No.1 on the Billboard 200 for two weeks in a row now, going on its third.

Swift is back on country radio and it looks like she’s there to stay. While country radio was somewhat shocked to see Swift back in the genre, they have embraced it fully and welcome back the superstar with open arms. You can request “New Years Day” now on your local country radio station.
