Tom Hiddleston dated Taylor Swift for a few months last year but did he spend enough time with the singer to inspire one of her new songs?

Weeks after the release Swift’s sixth studio album, Reputation, fans are wondering if Hiddleston, not Swift’s current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, was the inspiration behind “King of My Heart.”

On November 29, Hollywood Life shared news of the recent making of the video for “King of My Heart,” which reportedly includes a number of clues that suggest the track may have been written about Swift and Hiddleston’s summer romance last year.

What are the clues?

While Swift reportedly told fans that all of her Reputation love songs are about her current boyfriend, Alwyn, fans are convinced that she may not have been completely honest after spotted one particular clue that seemingly proved “King of My Heart” was about Hiddleston.

As the outlet explained, Swift is seen recording vocals for the track while wearing a white t-shirt and  a pair of denim overalls while FaceTiming with Karlie Kloss, which was an identical outfit to one worn by the singer in August 2016, when she was dating Tom Hiddleston.

When did Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn first meet?

Not only was Swift dating Hiddleston when she was seen in the white and denim outfit, she had also not yet met her current boyfriend. So, how could “King of My Heart” be about Alwyn if they didn’t know one another when it was reportedly written?

Fans also said that Swift said “Jaguar” in the same way that Hiddleston said it in one of his ads for the luxury automobile.
