How much drama can we take from Harry Potter? Honestly, too much

It isn’t easy being Harry Potter. That much we know but is he a bit of a drama queen? After all, all he does is complain about being the Boy Who Lived.

We love sassy Harry Potter. He’s angry and he snaps and he’s often very funny. But is he too much of a drama queen? I mean, at times, yes. I get it. His life hasn’t exactly been great but as Harry ages and finds his people and those who love him, he acts out in the worst way and, sometimes, it costs people their lives.

I’m not saying that Harry is responsible for deaths. But he freaks out, puts people in danger, and then others get hurt as a result. Look at the Battle of Hogwarts. I get it, they wanted to protect Harry but literally people died and Harry still had to go to Voldemort and die and be revived anyway.

It is like if your brother knew he had to break all the dishes in the house in order to do something but let you get in trouble for it first and then did it anyway. Except with higher stakes. Because you know, death trumps breaking plates.

I just think that sometimes the fact that Harry is a child is glaringly obvious. He gets selfish and risks people’s lives for no reason but that’s what makes him such an interesting hero. He isn’t perfect, he’s not like these Marvel heroes who have very limiting flaws.

Harry Potter is openly complex and it is one of the reasons we love him so much. Especially since he is our Boy Who Lived and we love him no matter what happens.
