Children die at Hogwarts yet parents still let their kids go to school there?

Hogwarts isn’t exactly as safe as it claims. Meaning lots of children die there and yet still, there is always a full class come the next year. Why is that?

Life in Hogwarts seems magical but let’s take a step back. It is honestly an extremely dangerous environment that could result in your death. Doesn’t sound so fun now, does it? Just think about the amount of children who died while at Hogwarts? Why would parents send their kids there?

It isn’t about just studying magic. It seems like the other schools are fine. No one died at Ilvermorny that we know of but Hogwarts, it seemed like every year Harry was there was a problem. But was it just when Harry Potter was at school? Did the minute he graduate mean freedom for the students?

I just think it is outrageous that people just kept sending their kids. Seamus’s family was the smartest ones! They told him no. Why? Because people died. So they just kept saying “oh well” and sending their children off? It is just a bit absurd to me.

If my mom found out that anyone died at my school by something that wasn’t their own hand, she’d force me home in a heartbeat. Even living away from my mother she wants me to be safe. So what parent goes “It’s okay, go back to Hogwarts. We know people die but you should be fine”?

It just seems a bit insane. I get why Harry is there year after year but everyone else? What are their parents doing? Just saying “oh well, good luck”?
