Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ Makes Big Debut

Taylor Swift has yet another blockbuster hit on her hands with her new album Reputation. It’s a big one and probably the biggest one of her career.
It’s been a big debut week for Taylor Swift and her sixth studio album reputation. According to BuzzAngle and Hits Daily Double, reputation outsold her 2014 release 1989 (1.289 with 1.29. She breaks another record with another record. Not only has it sold more copies in pure sales since Adele’s 25 in 2015, reputation is Swift’s fourth album to sell over 1 million copies it’s debut week and is the only artist who has ever done so. Just days after its release and holding the LP from streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music), reputation has claimed the best-selling album of 2017.
According to Forbes, reputation is Swift’s fifth consecutive No1. in America and her fourth in a row to debut with more than 1 million in copies, making her the first in history to do so. Not to mention, every album on the Billboard 200 (apart from Swift’s) combined have only sold 723,000 units when streaming consumption and song sales are excluded. This means that for every 10 albums sold during reputation‘s release week, more than six of them were reputation.

Swift didn’t need help from streaming services to top her previous sales record. She’s the biggest superstar in the world with the greatest sales record in history. No one can beat that, and that’s just a fact. Congratulations Swift on your big accomplishment. It’s well deserved.
