Mandy Perry

Mandy Perry has never yet found a subject which they didn’t have “at least two opinions,” and as such has their fingers in a whole lot of pies. They are an artist, writer and activist. Mandy is also Jewish, autistic, chronically ill and permanently disabled. They live in Pennsylvania with their spouse, teenager, dogs and “far too many ideas for any given 24 hour period to contain.”

Mandy writes queer urban fantasy and speculative fiction. Their work can be found, all for $1 a month, on Patreon. They also consult on queer and disability inclusion in roleplaying games.

Their Etsy features both nerdy and queer Jewish t-shirts, patches and kippahs/yarmulkes. They can also be found on Facebook and Twitter at @vaspider.

Mia Siegert

Mia Siegert is a bigender author who is very chill about their pronouns. Their semi-autobiographical YA novel, Jerkbait, received praise in Publisher’s Weekly, VOYA, Paste Magazine among others. It made a lot of lists when it released, including #1 New And Notable IPG Release, AndPop’s 10 Best YA of 2016, Goodreads Best YA of May 2016, Barnes & Noble Teen Blog Top 12 Indie YAs of 2016 and Scribd Best Books of July 2016.

Publisher’s Weekly called Jerkbait “Part coming-out story, part sports drama, part examination of homophobia, bullying, and parents who really don’t understand.” Having read the book, it’s a very difficult read, but a worthwhile one. I look forward to seeing whatever comes next from Mia.

When they aren’t writing, Mia is a costume designer and “You Can Play” ambassador.

They are represented by Travis Pennington from the Knight Agency. You can get to know Mia on Facebook or on Twitter at @MiaSiegert.
