20 nonbinary creators you need to keep an eye out for
Submitted by Stelladia.
Stelladia
Stelladia is a genderqueer comic artist, colorist and illustrator from Spain. She also talks about mental health a lot. She decided to study 2D and 3D animation at ESCIP Madrid after being moved to create by Toy Story 3. Since then, she has gone on to work with talented writers such as Gabriel Guerrero, Cecilia Garcia, Raquel Laforet, Marc Mula and Eric Graham “to translate their vision into visual storytelling.”
She was the storyboard artist with Dragonbee Animation on Johanne, a Joan of Arc inspired-story that was an official selection for many film festivals in 2017. She also worked on several book and animation projects with Nucco Brain, and on concept art for one of Flickerpix’s upcoming animated films.
You can find her work on her website and you can find her on Instagram as @amy_mcmofletis_stelladia or Twitter as @Stella_di_A.
Bogi Takács
If there’s anything to be done with a book, Bogi can do it. They are a Hungarian Jewish agender trans person who writes speculative fiction and poetry. They are autistic and physically disabled, and work in academia when not working in science fiction.
The long list of their published short stories can be found on their website.
They have a Patreon-funded web serial called Iwunen Interstellar Investigations. Iwunen features “a cheerful nonbinary trans couple solving magical crimes around the universe” which sounds absolutely delightful.
I just finished reading their most recent edited project – the Transcendent 2 Anthology – and it was so great, y’all. They also review fiction at Bogi Reads the World.
If Bogi sounds like your kind of author and person, you can follow them on their website, on Patreon, on Twitter at @bogiperson or on Instagram.
