Man Crush Monday: Nick Offerman is everyone’s man crush

When it comes to celebrities that everyone generally loves, Nick Offerman is pretty high up on the list. So this week’s Man Crush Monday goes out to Ron Swanson himself.

Nick Offerman is every man’s Man Crush Monday and today, he’s ours! If you aren’t sure who he is he brought to life the heroic Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, but he’s our MCM for his one man show that’s currently on tour.

Partly because his love of his wife, Megan Mullally, makes him absolutely adorable. Ron, ever the “man’s man” has only cried three times in his life, but Nick points out that he himself sobbed when Bing Bong died in Inside Out.

Now I get it, Nick Offerman might not be your first choice as a man crush. But look, he can build you a house and then sing you a song on his handmade guitar. What’s not to love? He’s continually singing about how much he loves his wife, and honestly, it makes him extremely attractive.

It also helps that Nick can grow a mustache like no other, something that will now always be linked to his alter ego Ron Swanson. Or his alter ego’s alter ego, Duke Silver. More than his work on Parks and Recreation, Nick is vocal about his beliefs, as his show reflects his unrest with the current political climate.

So maybe when you’re looking at him, he’s not your first choice in a hunk. And that’s fine. But when the end of days come and we all need a boat to stay afloat, Nick is going to be able to make it for us and sail us to his wooden island (something he said).

Do we maybe just miss him on our television sets week after week? Well, yes, Parks and Recreation continues to be one of the best comedies to have existed. But we also just love Nick and his work. He’s a great guy who loves his wife, woodwork, and singing while he plays his guitar.
